How does SkyLink work?
SkyLink is a cable car system developed by City Metro Industries. The cable moves by two pulleys, one at the top, the other at the bottom to pull the metal cable. It also uses a cable car vehicle attached to the metal cable, which is used to move the car along it's 200 foot climb from Santa Mooica Recreational Area to Lego Theme Park.
When does SkyLink operate?
SkyLink operates on all Lego Theme Park days, during Lego Theme Park's normal operation hours, typically 8 AM - 8 PM. SkyLink usually starts operating about an hour before Park opening, and closes about half an hour after Lego Theme Park closes.
How frequent does SkyLink operate?
SkyLink departs each station approximately every two minutes. It runs continuously through out the day during Lego Theme Park hours.
How to pay for SkyLink?
SkyLink is FREE! Thanks to the generous donations of Lego Theme Park, all guests, Lego Theme Park or not are able to ride SkyLink for free. Please be cautious as people may try to trick guests to pay for SkyLink, but these people do not work for Lego Theme Park, City Metro, or SkyLink. Please insure you do NOT purchase any tickets to use SkyLink.
How safe is Skylink?
SkyLink meets all federal, state, and county standards by over 150%. Everyday SkyLink operators inspect and insure the cable car is safe for passenger use. We conduct tests frequently, and make sure all concerns are addressed quickly.
Are there any alternatives to SkyLink?
Unfortunately no. Please visit the Lego Theme Park website for more information, but at this time SkyLink is the only official way to access Lego Theme Park. Paths that lead up to Lego Theme Park are to be used in an emergency only, and are NOT to be used by the public.
