Hey City Metro Riders!
This post is to inform you about the new changes coming to the Airport Metro Transit Center, with the additional platform and Regional Rail services. Listed below are the changes, and how they will affect your journey.

Upcoming City Metro Rail Changes: The A and E will continue to depart as normal on platforms 1 and 2. The K will also continue to depart from the end of Platform 2 towards Asian Town, but will now run with 7 minute headways at all times, except late nights or early mornings. However the F Line (FLX Terminal Connector) will now depart from Platform 3, starting Monday, January 12th, 2026.

Upcoming Regional Rail Changes: City Metro-North Railroad will be extended to stop at FLX T2, and the Airport Metro Transit Center. Please be aware that some trains may skip FLX T2 due to no available platforms. City MetroLink Airport Line trains will be extended to run to Airport Metro Transit Center, and will only stop at FLX T2 during peak hours.  Below is the new Regional Rail map.

Entrances and Exit Changes: The current Airport Metro Transit Center will be closed starting Sunday, January 11th. A new accessible elevator exit will be opened starting Sunday, and will be located about 50 feet to the left of the current staircase.

Platform/Station Changes: Alongside the additional platform, an entire new underground building has been opened. The B and D lines can be accessed via a separate elevator located in this new building. To access the A, E, and K lines, you must take take the staircase/ramp to the overpass crossing over the tracks, and take another staircase down to platform's 1 and 2.

Thank you for understanding these changes as we work to make the Airport Metro Transit Center as fast and convenient as possible. If you have any concerns please ask a City Metro employee or contact us. See you at FLX!
